Macalester Bicycle and Alternative Commuter Group

A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):
This group maintains an interest list of alternative commuters and sends outreach material to the group. In addition, the Sustainability Office pays for a coffee break twice a month for this group. Members of this group act as peer resources for others looking to try a different transportation options, particularly for bicycle commuting and learning how to use the public transportation system.

Any employee who has an interest in commuting to work using a method other than driving a single-occupancy vehicle.

The Sustainability Staff Network is modeled on our successful Sustainability Student Network. The Sustainability Office keeps a moodle group, sends out information and event listings and develops staff trainings.
