A brief description of the program:
As part of Macalester's Sustainability Plan, a Purchasing Policy was adopted to seek and create purchasing options that minimize Macalester’s costs and promote a positive ecological and social impact. The purchasing guidelines are still under review but they include preferential buying for local businesses.
