The Presidential Initiative for Curricular Renewal (PICR)is a curriculum development program sponsored by President Brian Rosenberg, first launched in 2005. In 2010-11, he provided funds to support faculty proposals in two curriculum development categories:
• The development of courses that support the College's general education requirements in writing, quantitative thinking, U.S. multiculturalism, or internationalism.
• The development of courses that include the concept of “sustainability” as a focus.

Faculty may apply for grants up to $1,500 for making significant changes in existing courses or for up to $2,000 for the development of a completely new course.
