In 2020, the Institute of Environmental Sustainability was raised to a full School. The School of Environmental Sustainability is home to the Biodiesel Program, Urban Agriculture and the Loyola Farmers Market. Sustainable Investment Policy
A brief description of the second program/initiative/accomplishment:
After years of student and faculty advocacy, the LUC Board of Trustees officially adopted the Sustainable Investment Policy. This document was created by the Board's Investment Policy Committee and dictates specific strategies to divest from fossil fuel holdings, seek opportunities in sustainable funds, integrate ESG, and direct fund managers to promote corporate responsibility.

Plan 150 - Strategic Plan
A brief description of the third program/initiative/accomplishment:
Adopted in 2021, Loyola celebrated 150 years in Chicago and set forth a vision for the next 150 years through a set of six enduring values. Value VI. is Care for Our World and includes a set of strategies to advance sustainability at Loyola including completing the 2015 Climate Action Plan, new sustainability curricula open to all Ramblers, and achieving STARS Platinum before 2025.
