A brief description of the institution’s community garden:
Loyola owns and provides a property on the Lake Shore Campus to a local nonprofit, Peterson Garden Project, for an allotment-style garden called "Vedgewater". This garden has ~80 gardeners and some plots are dedicated to produce donation through a local food pantry named Care for Real.
Additionally our students have supported Peterson Garden Project through workdays.
