A brief description of the institution's green laboratory program:
A committee of representatives from laboratory-heavy departments meets to identify opportunities to work together. In 2015, the committee created a set of resources to be used by lab staff. At the start of each year, lab technicians participating in the safety symposium receive a 45 minute overview to green labs and the available resources.

Stickers and small posters are available during trainings and online for fume hood efficient operations.

The program identified as one of the innovation credits created new resources for lab managers to reduce water use or retrofit equipment.

During the training and online, resources are made available to choose less toxic materials and facilitate chemical sharing.

Recycling resources are made available at the training and online specifically addressing the challenges of lab materials.

The annual training during the Lab Safety orientation covers sustainable practices as well as the resources listed above.
