A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Loyola is an urban, private, Catholic university based in Northeastern Illinois. It has three primary campuses. Lake Shore Campus is the primary residential campus for undergraduate students and is based on the northern edge of the city of Chicago. Water Tower Campus is based in the central business district of Chicago and is home to the majority of the professional schools. In Maywood, IL is the Health Sciences Campus, hosting the medical, nursing and public health departments as well as the Tier 1 research activities, located on a hospital campus.
For this submission of STARS, operational data is primarily for the Lake Shore and Water Tower Campus. Student and employee information is for all three campuses. This is due to data accuracy challenges in attaining utility information at HSC.
Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? | Included? | |
Agricultural school | No | No |
Medical school | Yes | Yes |
Other professional school with labs and clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) | Yes | Yes |
Satellite campus | Yes | Yes |
Farm larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares | No | No |
Agricultural experiment station larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares | No | No |
Hospital | No | No |
If there are features present that are not included within the boundary, provide:
The institutional boundary for Loyola's STARS submission includes Lake Shore, Water Tower, and Health Sciences Campuses. The only exception to this is in the Operations category. Due to a recent property transaction, we do not have accurate utility information for the four buildings at the Health Sciences Campus. This will be corrected in future submissions. All other data is relevant for the reporting year indicated for each category.
