Does the institution have a surplus department or formal office supplies exchange program that facilitates reuse of materials?:
Yes

A brief description of the program:

LSU (Baton Rouge Campus) maintains a surplus warehouse at the River Road Annex Building, where items are stored for a period of time for other departments prior to sending to the Louisiana Property Assistance Agency. Ag Center surplus from surrounding locations is also routed through this warehouse. LSU warehouse personnel generally have an idea of the types of items of interest by departments (i.e., desks, filing cabinets, computers, etc.).

Departments also have the option to transfer equipment from one campus department directly to another campus department through their campuswide contacts or as routed through Property Management who may have knowledge of a particular department's needs.
