A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive experience(s) offered by the institution:
Encounter Engineering in Europe (E3) provides a platform for students to study engineering while immersed in another culture; sustainability is an underlying topic that permeates the daily lectures, discussions, and excursions. While traveling abroad for 5 weeks the factory tours, culture experiences, public transportation and accommodations all provide the unique opportunity to learn firsthand about sustainability. The students’ blogs, assignments and projects are infused with sustainable concepts and its relevance to the world we live in after experiencing Germany’s manufacturing, technology and society.
