Local advocacy
A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability at the municipal/local level:
Lewis University has been an advocate for local issues in relation to water and waste ordinances. Students along with Council members attend seminars that affect our region inclding I-80 Clean Fuels Corridor Project.

Lewis University has been an advocate for CEJA in Illinois and has provided students the opportunity to get involved.
