We have implemented a bike program at Lewis that allows students to utilize bikes on campus.

Outdoor bicycle racks have been installed within reasonable distance to each building on campus, however currently there is not a long term covered storage facility for bicycles.

Lewis University offers students, faculty and staff a free shuttle, the Flyer Express. The shuttle runs to the Malls, Target, Walmart, restaurants, movie theaters and train stations. The Flyer Express runs Thursday through Sunday with modified schedules during campus breaks and holidays.
Presently, the shuttle runs during the fall/spring semesters, however there are plans for expansion to determine student needs over summer break. The shuttle service is advertised during orientation, on the Lewis Website as well as posters and email notifications.
There is also a pace bus that runs from downtown Chicago to campus. Commuters that live in the city.

Two Dual Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations have been made available for Lewis University faculty, staff, students and visitors. The stations are located conveniently on campus and are promoted through the sustainability website, campus maps and to visitors during larger events. The ChargePoint stations were installed in November of 2013.

Flex Time Summer Program currently on hold (Information to be added back if program returns): Lewis students, faculty and staff are encouraged to get onboard. Relax and be transported to the Malls, Target, Walmart, restaurants, movie theatres and train stations. The Flyer Express will run Thursday through Sunday with modified schedules during campus breaks and holidays. Currently, we are running during the fall/spring semesters. I plan on sending out a questionnaire to the students as we approach the end of the spring semester to gauge their needs during the summer break.
