A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :

All entering students (including transfer students) had the option of attending multiple faculty lectures during Orientation that addressed sustainability. New undergraduate students and transfer students also have the opportunity to eat at the First Year Student Orientation picnic, which has sustainability information, recycling, and composting. Additionally, for graduate students, there was a graduate student resource fair and game night that the Office of Sustainability participated in. Through this event, the graduate students were able to gain knowledge about the Office of Sustainability and Sustainability at Lehigh in general. The Office of Sustainability also shared electronically a sustainability one pager as well as environmental living tips with all graduate students during orientation.
