The lowest paid Lehigh employee makes $12.82 per hour which is 77% over the state and local city minimum wage. The total compensation (wages and benefits) for the lowest-paid employee using $12.82/hour is $17.05/hour, which is 135% higher than minimum wage. This individual also receives full benefits including health care, life insurance, long term disability insurance, EAP access, retirement contributions, tuition remission, short term disability coverage, and paid time off benefits.

Employee compensation was impacted by COVID-19, but FY 21 values are reported here. Living wage has increased since the start of the pandemic, but Lehigh's employee compensation has not caught up yet. As a "new normal" is established, we felt it important to report true FY 21 data to build off of for the future.
