A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
Lehigh University is currently seeking ways to supplement our fleet with alternative fuel type vehicles and power technology. Providing options that would be a sustainable fit for our community is paramount. There are several projects that are currently being researched such as increasing our fleet of electric vehicles and applying for grants to assist in funding the vehicles. The usage of autonomous vehicles as a method to transport passengers is also being researched and solar options are also being considered to power charging stations and bus shelters.
