A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
The emphasis of Lawrence's wellness program for students, faculty and staff, WELLU, is to inspire and support positive lifestyles, help individuals achieve their full potential in balance and well-being by making responsible choices. The program is committed to providing opportunities that facilitate and sustain growth in multiple dimensions of wellness: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social and environmental, intellectual and occupational. The program is overseen by Lawrence's Director of Wellness and Recreation
In 2018 Lawrence was awarded a Platinum Well Workplace Award from the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) in conjunction with the Wellness Council of Wisconsin.
Lawrence provides an employee assistance program through the Employee Resource Center to all employees for free. This program provides confidentail and voluntary assistance to employees and their family members who may be faced with dynamic challenges of stress, grief, job-related challenges, relationship or marital problems, alcohol, drug abuse, parenting issues, etc. Lawrence employees can call to set up appointments anonymously.

Smoking is permitted on public sidewalks, smoking is not permitted on Lawrence sidewalks or in Lawrence parking lots.
