A brief description of other inter-campus collaborative efforts around sustainability during the previous year :

In 2017, Lawernce received a grant to foster a culture of sustainability on campus. Lawrence attended a colloquium hosted by the granting organization for all sustainability grant recipients where members from each institution discussed the goals of their grant and the challenges they face on their campuses regarding sustainability.

In 2018, Lawrence shared the costs of honorarium for Eric Holt-Gimenez, the Executive Director of Food First, with the Wisconsin Farmers Union (WFU). WFU hosted Holt-Gimenez as a speaker at their annual conference. While in Appleton on January 28th, Holt-Gimenez came to Lawrence to have lunch with students and host a question and answer session. Students that attended the session were invited to his keynote talk at the WFU.

In April of 2019, Lawrence collaborated with St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI to bring in lawyer and activist Jackie Bryan of Wisconsin Environmental Associates. Lawernce and St. Norbert College shared the honorarium and Bryan split her time between the two campuses as an Earth Day speaker.

In May of 2019, faculty members from Lawrence University and Ripon College traveled to Dickinson for their Sustainability Across the Curriculum Conference (AASHE hub). This was funded by an existing grant from the Mellon Foundation for faculty from Ripon and Lawrence to collaborate and pursue professional development.
