A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
At employee orientation, each new employee receives a folder with inserts from multiple departments on campus. A sustainability insert is included. The insert includes "quick facts" about sustainability at Lawrence such as info on the renewable energy produced by a wind turbine at Lawrence's northern campus, the community partnerships that have developed through the composting program of the university garden and the amount of food recovered by Lawrence's division of the Food Recovery Network. Information about recycling on campus is included as a separate insert by Facility Services.
