A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
The Community Advisers (CAs) at Lawrence, employed by the Office of Residential Education and Housing serve as a resource for campus offices, services, policies and procedures to hall residents, are assigned to work in one of five educational focus areas. One-fifth of CAs are assigned to the educational focus area of Sustainability and Eco-initiatives. CAs with this focus area must fulfill their educational programming requirements by hosting programs with a focus of sustainability.
A brief description of the student educators program’s target audience (1st program):
The target audience for Sustainability CAs are the residents that live in the residence halls (each CA is assigned to a particular building or floor. Lawrence is a residential campus with very few students living off-campus during their 4 or more years in school. Therefore, the CAs have the ability to impact almost all students on campus. The discrepancy between the number of students enrolled for credit and the number of students served by the program can be attributed to students that are not on campus due to off-campus study.
