Narrative:
Lawrence University is a small liberal arts college in Appleton, WI, a community of approximately 75,000. Our urban residential campus combines the college with a music conservatory, and we have a total of 1500 students. In addition to the Appleton campus, Lawrence has a 425-acre property approximately 100 miles north in Door County, WI. This property, named Bjorklunden, is primarily wilderness but also has a 20-room lodge for student and faculty retreats and summer seminars. As of December 2011, over half the power to the lodge is provided by a 50kw wind turbine.
