A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
In 2015, the sustainable trainings in staff professional development were focused on diversity and inclusion. Many workshops were led by the group Incite Change! From Ann Arbor Michigan. There were two half-day cultural competency workshops for faculty in Febuary and four half-day workshops in May. PCDA (President's Committee on Diversity Affairs) and CODA (Committee on DIversity Affairs) planned the cultural competency interactive presentation given by Eddie Moore, Jr. open to all faculty, staff, and students in April. The PCDA was also involved in the planning of three half-day workshops for administrators and certain staff with Incite Change! in Feb. and March and an all-day workshop led by Eddie Moore, Jr. for all staff in June.
