As part of the 2010-2020 strategic plan, approved by the President and the Board of Trustees, our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint by 25% below a 2003-2008 baseline by 2020.

A brief summary of the climate plan’s short-term goals:
To reach this goal, the university is focusing on energy conservation measures (a campus-wide HVAC policy that mandates a single temperature, individual electricity meters on residence halls, the use of LED lighting, etc) as well as energy production (a 3kw solar pv array that was installed in 2010, a 20kw array installed in 2011, and a 50kw wind turbine also installed in 2011.)
