A brief description of the single-use disposable plastics that have been banned or eliminated:
- Straws: As per the City of Vancouver Single-Use Item Reduction Strategy single use plastic straws are banned throughout Vancouver including on campus. Anyone who requires a flexible plastic straw because of accessibility requirements will receive one, unless a better alternative is available.
- Foam Cups and take-out containers: As per the City of Vancouver Single-Use Item Reduction Strategy Foam cups and take-out containers are banned for business licence holders throughout Vancouver, including Langara's campus.
