A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:
Langara Community Cupboard

A partnership between the Langara College Foundation, Financial Aid, Langara Students' Union, and the Office for Student Engagement, the Langara Community Cupboard addresses the issue of food insecurity by establishing an on-campus food bank program. The program is fully funded by donations and managed by volunteers. The community cupboard has been in service since 2017 and has been upgraded thanks to the fundraising efforts by Langara's Beyond 49 Fund which was done in part of Langara's Beyond 49th anniversary (49 years on West 49th Avenue).

The Langara Community Cupboard provides one week's worth of non-perishable food items per student per week. The Community Cupboard bags contain approximately 21 meals. This includes items like instant oatmeal and fruit cups for breakfasts, soups & canned vegetables for lunches, and pasta & rice for dinners. Bags contain 18 different items are are all vegetarian.
