A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
Monthly orientation session are done which are mandatory for all new employees at the college. The facilities department is invited to cover sustainability in the orientation session PowerPoint presentation, these slides cover several topics from bike facilities, EV charging locations, recycling and the current initiatives in sustainability activities at Langara. There is also a emphasis on wellness at Langara, where employees are directed to Langara's People and Culture* website where there is a page specifically for wellness initiatives and a section on sustainable commuting.
