A brief description of the undergraduate degree program:
Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary program offering students the opportunity to obtain a solid grasp of the physical principles governing the form and function of the earth and the social aspects affecting the nature of human impact on the environment. Program participants will also gain critical thinking skills, analytical ability, a deeper understanding of environmental issues, and a sense of local and global awareness, preparing them to address complex environmental issues. Langara offers both an Associate of Arts Degree and an Associate of Science Degree in Environmental Studies.

A brief description of the undergraduate degree program (2nd program):
The Associate of Arts Degree in Geography is integrated environmental program that seeks to understand human interaction with the natural world. The Program is divided into human geography (study of location and other aspects of human activities) and physical geography (study of landforms, geology, climate, etc.). Geography courses include subject matter related to both the social sciences (e.g., sociology and economics) and the natural sciences (eg., geology, biology and physics). The degree provides a more generalist and interdisciplinary approach than other social and physical sciences, while also offering practical skills such as map visualization using geographic information systems (GIS).

A brief description of the undergraduate degree program (3rd program):
The Aboriginal Studies Program is a unique, comprehensive, and integrated university-transferable program that addresses historic and contemporary Aboriginal issues in Canada. The faculty come from a wide variety of backgrounds including traditional knowledge, education, business, human relations, psychology, history, law and culture. Each faculty member is committed to encouraging students in exploring skills development, Aboriginal life, history, community relations, challenges and planning for the future. The Department focuses on studies of colonization, culture and identity, law, women, global Indigenous issues, community development, traditional knowledge government policy and self determination. Students are fully supported and mentored.
