The mission of the Employee Wellness Program is to foster health and wellness among Lane Community College employees and their families; hence "Life in the Wellness Lane" is our motto. Our vision is to enhance employee wellness through physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual, environmental and occupational health components.
The mission of the Mental Health and Wellness Center (MH&WC) is to provide accessible, quality mental health and wellness care to the students of LCC through education and ongoing support. The MH&WC strives to provide adequate services to assist students and enable them to remain in school. The MH&WC works closely with other departments in the college, and outside agencies to provide well-rounded supports that focus on mental, physical, financial, and other areas of personal health.

This policy describes exceptions to the no-smoking policy, and rationale for its adoption.
Narrative
Beginning fall term 2010, smoking and all other tobacco use is prohibited in all core areas of Lane's Main 30th Avenue Campus; smoking and tobacco use is allowed in four designated peripheral areas only.
Smoking and other tobacco use is prohibited completely in all other Lane campuses and locations.
Limited exemptions to this policy may be allowed when tobacco has a ceremonial use.
