Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Percentage of employees assessed, directly or by representative sample:
A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
The College used Gallup's 12 question employee engagement survey which is based upon 75 years of research and has been scientifically validated to strongly correlate with employee engagement.
The survey was administered in 2022 and in Fall 2023. The results from the Fall 2023 follow-up survey show a 10% increase in survey participation over the prior survey.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
The College has approached the results both at the institutional and department level. At the department level each manager reviews survey results with their team and develops an action plan that is designed to address the areas of highest interest. Additionally, at the institutional level, campus-wide work groups were developed to provide recommendations in four different areas: diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging; trust and integrity; engagement and growth; and respect and fairness. The recommendations from these workgroups were vetted and the highest impact suggestions were chosen for implementation.
