Part 2. Sustainability-focused certificate program
A brief description of the certificate program(s):
Building Operator Certification (BOC*) is a nationally-recognized training and certification program for building engineering and maintenance staff which offers improved job skills to create more comfortable, energy efficient facilities.
Building Operator Certification® (BOC) and Multifamily BOC are professional development
programs designed for operations and maintenance staff working in public or private
commercial buildings and multifamily buildings. These programs provide education to
individuals in energy and resource-efficient operation of building systems at two levels:
Level I and Level II. The Northwest Energy Water & Energy Education Institute (NWEEI)
through Lane Community College provides the general BOC classes, and the Northwest
Energy Efficiency Council provides the MF BOC classes.
