Lane Community College's is a member of the USGBC and as a member organization employees have access to continuing education trainings related to sustainability in the built environment. These training are available year round and are used regularly by staff in the Facilities office.

Classified Professional Development (CPD) funds are available every year to help eligible classified employees pay for professional development opportunities that benefit both the College and the employee. Each fiscal year, classified staff can request reimbursement for professional development activities. These trainings reimbursements have included sustainability workshops and conferences in recent years.
