A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
The mission of the Employee Wellness Program is to foster health and wellness among Lane Community College employees and their families; hence "Life in the Wellness Lane" is our motto. Our vision is to enhance employee wellness through physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual, environmental and occupational health. Lane's Employee Wellness Program offers events and classes that are open to all Lane employees, their spouses/domestic partners and their dependents, age 16 and older, and retirees. A Wellness Advisory Team serves to provide recommendations, participate in making decisions, represent departments and divisions campus-wide, promote and plan wellness activities and events, and provide feedback. Some of our Employee Wellness activities include wellness workshops, walk/jog groups, a "healthy habits" support group, ergonomic assessments and a variety of health and fitness classes.

Although the Employee Wellness Program has at times included students in certain events, it is for employees and their family members as I mentioned above. That said, we now have the Mental Health and Wellness Center for students.
