Does the institution compost or mulch waste from grounds keeping, including grass trimmings?:
A brief description of the composting or mulching program:
A pit of 3.5’ x 10’ x 40’ is prepared and a layer of dry
leaves is placed in the bottom. Then a layer of cow dung is spread over it and again 2nd layer of dry leaves is put on it. A mixture of animal’s blood & bone is thrown over the placed stuff. After spreading layer of silt, DAP is put over it. Complete pit is filled with water and is covered properly with polythene sheet. It takes 2 months to prepare compost, remove sheet after said duration & the stuff is ready for use.
