A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
In the School of Science and Engineering Building, air quality is maintained automatically by a combination of sealed windows and air filters in the HVAC system. This was a requirement built into the design of the building to ensure air quality does not interfere with the experiments.
In addition, Biology and Chemistry labs are fitted with fume hoods for their experiments.
There are exhaust fans in the kitchen adjacent to the main student dining hall and food court areas to ensure the air in the dining area maintains its quality.
There is a blanket No Smoking Policy in all covered space at LUMS.
