A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Energy Conservation Efforts - Wanting to play a positive role in the ongoing energy crisis in the country, LUMS has set up the Energy Conservation Department under the aegis of the SarSubz LUMS project. The core responsibilities of this department are to monitor and manage the energy consumption of the University and to introduce Energy Efficient Solutions on campus. Many initiatives have already been implemented like the replacement of conventional lights with energy efficient lightening i.e. LEDs, motion controlled lightening and the automation of AHUs (Air Handling Units).
