2nd Student Environmental Symposium on Sustainability

In 2011, the 1st Student Environmental Symposium on Sustainability was organized. As part of students' learning and wishing to share their experiences with others, they are continuing to spread this initiative. This year, the symposium was co-hosted by Kyoto University and Hokkaido University, focused on food consumption. They also launched the Network of Students for Sustainability in Japan.

Sustainable Week

Sustainable Week was held from 24th to 30 June this year. It was our first sustainability fair, featuring a wide range of mainly student-run event, participatory activities, talks and exchanges on the theme of sustainability. Highlights includes a "goods exchange market, Green film festival, Organic farmers market, a campaign to pick up litter around campus and presentation from graduate students on sustainability-related topics.
