Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
KPU owns 68.8 Hectares of land. 3.8 Hectares consist of Paterson Park in Delta, British Columbia. Currently, KPU has no plans to develop this space. Since it is not an active space used by the KPU campus community, it has been left out of the institutional boundaries.
In addition, The Tsawwassen Farm School has been left out of the institutional boundaries. This is because the Tsawwassen First Nation Farm School (TFNFS) is a partnership between KPU and the Tsawwassen First Nation and is located on First Nation land not owned by KPU.
Teaching labs that are energy intensive were placed under "Other Energy Intensive Spaces" as KPU is not an official research institute, although research does occur at many of these labs. Other Energy Intensive Spaces include many of the Trades workshops as well as the Ceramics Studios, such as those containing a Kiln, Computer Labs, Science Labs, the Brewery Instructional Lab and Greenhouses, to name a few.
KPU's Endowment:
KPU's endowment size above is the KPU Foundation Endowment investment portfolio reflected by the quarter-ended December 31, 2022 (Canadian Dollars).
