If no, provide:
KPU does not have a specific voluntary OHSMS, but follows a formal program as required by WorkSafeBC (provincial standard). At KPU we have implemented an Occupational Health & Safety Program as required by safety legislation - Worker's Compensation Act and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, and all other applicable legislation relating to the promotion of safety and health and the prevention of injuries, accidents, and occupational diseases.
The OH&S Program's main objective is to prevent work related injuries and diseases. The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation and the OHS provisions of the Workers Compensation Act contain legal requirements for workplace health and safety that must be met by all workplaces under the inspection jurisdiction of WorkSafeBC. Some sections of the Workers Compensation Act and OHS Regulation have associated policies and guidelines.

A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
The typical process begins with an injured worker reporting an incident to KPU's First Aid (FA) Attendants at the various campuses. The FA attendant will then generate a SharePoint Report that is mailed to the Occupational Health & Safety team (OH&S) and Health and Benefits team. When the Advisor of Occupational Health & Safety receives the report, they will mail the individual to complete a form 6a and for the supervisor and the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) members to complete an incident investigation (where applicable). The Advisor will also then record the data on their OneDrive and on an Excel spreadsheet which is where the Advisor collects the data from. The Advisor can also export the first aid reports from the SharePoint page. WorkSafeBC also collects data on KPU's injuries that result in time-loss and health care which the OH&S team are able to access.
Annual number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health per 100 FTE employees:
0.79
