No written policies, plans or guidelines, but green infrastructure and LID practices are used

A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:

Knox campus has 3 rain gardens: outside of the HOPE Center, installed in 2019, which collects rain from the roof; The Whitcomb Art Center, completed in 2017, has two bioswales to capture the stormwater from the building's footprint; and a rain garden, installed in 2016, outside of the library and collects water from the roof of the building.

A brief description of the institution’s rainwater management policy, plan, and/or guidelines that supports the responses above:

Around 75% of campus building roofs discharge rainwater to the surrounding ground rather than to the sewer or storm-discharge lines. Large vegetated areas are preserved to enable natural percolation of this water. Knox also has five retention basins for on-site stormwater management.
