In collaboration with Knox's Staff Council, the Office of Sustainability hosts lunch-and-learn events to educate staff about sustainability issues or resources and programs available to them on campus.
A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution :
Sustainability staff attend the annual Association for Sustainability in Higher Education conference each year and other focus-area conferences and workshops when they are hosted. In 2019, office staff visited regional organizations and campuses to learn about their methods and processes to inform how to better manage our campus programing. Travel and registration fees are paid for by the Sustainability Office. Webinars are often shared with campus staff on sustainability topics related to their areas of focus, such as making libraries sustainable.
