A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
Knox College maintains a large inventory of doors, windows, and architectural salvage from renovation of campus buildings, which are reused throughout the campus when possible. Scrap metal is collected on campus and carried to recycling centers when sufficient quantities are generated. In an effort to pursue a minimum of LEED Silver certification on the renovation of Alumni Hall, Knox has required the contractor to responsibly recycle the majority of all C&D waste.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
The Alumni Hall figures are included in this year's numbers. The Alumni Hall renovation, from October 2013-October 2014 produced 844.96 tons of waste, 639.65 of which were diverted for recycling or alternative recovery.
