Name of the institution’s featured sustainability program, initiative, or accomplishment:
Combined Impact of Kenyon's "Green Centers"

A brief description of the institution’s featured program, initiative, or accomplishment:

Kenyon's "Green Centers" represent a comprehensive approach to providing curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular approaches to connecting the campus community to the natural, agricultural, social and built environments that make up our corner of rural Ohio. The Brown Family Environmental Center (BFEC), Philander Chase Conservancy (PCC), Kokosing Nature Preserve (KNP) green burial cemetery, Office of Green Initiatives (OGI), Rural Live Center, and the Kenyon Farm form a model suite of offices for institutions investigating meaningful exploration of "sense of place". Viewing sustainability holistically, Kenyon will continue to leverage the "Green centers" to improve our understanding of the term and our ability positively impact the planet through the work of our students.
