A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

We used a locally developed survey, administered online. The focus of the survey is on diversity, broadly defined. The opening section is about a general sense of being welcome, supported, and safe, and it includes satisfaction items. The survey uses a 5-point Likert-type response scale (Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree).


A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

The college makes the results of the survey publicly known by holding a series of informational presentations, each focused on a different aspect of the survey. The data is then incorporated into the college's strategic planning process as the various groups responsible for planning address areas needing improvement.
