The Keene State College Bookstore is run by Barnes & Noble College, which is a member of the Fair Labor Association: http://www.fairlabor.org/affiliates?page=1).The KSC Bookstore sells KSC logo apparel and items. Since the bookstore is run by Barnes and Noble all vendors must comply to their standards, described in this statement: "We are a member of the Fair Labor Association (FLA) and since 1998, we have required all vendors who supply products to our stores to adopt the FLA’s Code of Conduct, which requires strict adherence to workers’ rights (and no child labor). And all of the brands sold in our bookstores currently meet labor standards set by the Workers Rights Consortium (WCA), an independent labor rights monitoring organization." Also, Keene State College is part of the University System of New Hampshire, which means that all institutions must comply with the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act as well as New Hampshire State Labor Laws.
