A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
Human Resources offers a comprehensive onboarding to each new KSC staff and faculty member, which includes information about sustainability at KSC.
This currently includes a general informational piece regarding the sustainability efforts as KSC (correct use of campus recycling bins, the KSC reuse room, etc.) during the new employee orientation, and directs the new hire to the Office of Sustainability website for more detailed information.
The Keene State College Office of Sustainability is currently developing an even more comprehensive staff and faculty orientation training that will parallel new student orientation incorporating the sustainability literacy assessment, a training video or online education module, and a sustainability pledge. Anticipated roll out for this orientation package is fall 2021.
