Keene State has a Campus Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness (CCDEI); see http://www.keene.edu/campus/diversity/commissions/. We also have a Diversity and Multiculturalism Office (http://www.keene.edu/campus/diversity/office/), as well as a Chief Officer for Diversity and Multiculturalism (CODM). The Office of Multicultural Student Support (OMSS) specifically targets student programs.
Keene State also has a Title IX Office and Title IX Coordinator, to coordinate the College’s response to incidents of sexual assault, gender-based harassment, and dating or domestic violence to ensure compliance with federal law and state statutes, while helping to ensure fair, equitable, and prompt grievance procedures.

Keene State College offers a variety of cultural competence trainings and activities. Some of those events include a speaker series, workshops (co-sponsored by employee groups and our Campus Commission on Diversity and Multiculturalism and Office of Diversity and Multiculturalism), film series, and our Counseling Center is working specifically to address the cultural differences and needs of our students. We initiated a Preferred First Names project in 2015 (http://www.keene.edu/campus/diversity/preferred-first-names/). Human Resources works closely with the Office of Diversity and Multiculturalism.

Keene State promotes an open and inclusive environment and supports students through groups like KSC College Pride (http://www.keene.edu/campus/diversity/ksc-pride/) and Common Ground Multicultural Club (http://www.keene.edu/campus/diversity/common-ground-multicultural-club/).
