A brief description of the formal student role in regard to each area indicated, including examples from the previous three years:
The students who serve on the KSC Senate also serve on the Senate Executive Committee and all the other subcommittees of the Senate so they are involved in academic policy and curricular issues. Policy issues include revisions of the College Calendar Guides, the Academic Honesty Policy and individual program requirements. The students were instrumental in shaping new Nursing and Criminal Justice programs. Students were involved on several of our NEASC Accrediation subcommittees including the Student Standard. Students sit on committees and have been involved in our Master Planning and Strategic planning processes. Student Assembly has approval of fee budgets in the Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.

The Staff councils have representatives on all governing and decision making bodies of the campus. They are involved in Master and Strategic planning. Staff have traditionally staff council Chairs meet on regluar basis with the president and participated in the campus budget planning meeting. Staff are also represented on all subcommittees of the Senate and therefore involved in all policy and curricular decisions.

Both adjunct and tenure track faculty are unionized and as such the union has representation on many of the the decision making bodies of the campus. On the College Senate 20 of the 29 seats are for faculty. 19 are for full-time faculty and one is for adjunct faculty.

Of the 29 members of the College Senate, 20 are faculty members. All are elected by their peers to serve in these roles. The faculty are unionized and elect their executive board each spring.

A brief description of the formal faculty role in regard to each area indicated, including examples from the previous three years:
Faculty chair the College Senate, Strategic Planning and College Wide Learning Outcomes Committees. The union leadership has designated roles on all campus decision making bodies and represents 2/3 of the members of the Senate so all curriculum and academic policies are fully vetted byt he faculty. Faculty faciliate their own search processes and faculty members serve as assistant deans who work with department chairs to create schedules.
