A brief description of the policies and procedures that ensure community stakeholder engagement is applied systematically and regularly across the institution’s activities:
Involving community stakeholders is a part of KSC's culture. The City Planner served on the master plan committee, the product of which was shared in two community forums prior to Board approval in Jan. 2014. As we go through the process for a new Strategic Plan, community stakeholders are part of the interview process. One of the instutional strengths identified in the the strategic plan is community engagement and service learning.

A brief description of how the institution identifies and engages community stakeholders, including any vulnerable or underrepresented groups:
Primarily through our working relationship with the City of Keene and other community service partners. One such partner is the 100 Nights Shelter, which provides shelter, dietary counseling, and medical support to the region's homeless. The Shelter is partially funded by the City and Southwest Community Services. Annually, KSC Sociology students document the experience of Shelter residents and then report them to the above stakeholders and to the NH Department of Health and Human Services.
