To serve as an advocate and catalyst for continuing learning and advancement in the treatment of diversity across the campus so that students are prepared for active participation in an increasingly diverse world.

Main focus – Work with faculty, staff, administrators and students to achieve institutional goals and objectives associated with diversity and multiculturalism
--Take a holistic approach to educate students to become involved, socially conscious citizens and leaders in a diverse society
--Create a climate of openness where issues of diversity and multiculturalism will be discussed on a regular basis by providing additional opportunities for this to happen
--Provide training and educational opportunities to help address areas of growth in order for individuals to feel more competent and confident when it comes to dealing with issues of diversity and multiculturalism
--Work collaboratively with others (such as Human Resources, Admissions, Enrollment Management Committee, Campus Commission for Diversity and Multiculturalism) in order to prepare the community prior to increasing the “numbers” of underrepresented people and coordinate efforts for recruitment and retention of faculty, staff, administrators and students
--Conduct a campus climate survey with the assistance of Institutional Research to help direct decisions about programming, diversity events, training, etc.
--Engage the Keene State College community in developing a strategic plan for inclusive academic excellence
