The mission of The President's Council for a Sustainable Future at Keene State College is to affirm the beliefs that college faculty, staff, administration and students have a responsibility to take a leadership role in conducting activities as responsible stewards of the environment.
Through role-modeling as a college-wide proactive learning community and by serving as an interdisciplinary resource group, the Council will strive to support educational and institutional activities that promote environmental awareness and stewardship though local action and global thinking.

A brief description of the sustainability office:
The Office of Sustainability Programs is responsible for identifying and championing sustainable efforts on campus, for supporting members of the campus community as they initiate and develop sustainable practices/teaching on campus. The OSP is responsible for publicizing the sustainable efforts on campus and for keeping a focus on sustainable practices. The OSP is also responsible for the Eco-reps peer to peer education program and for supporting and developing student focused education and activities promoting sustainability.
