A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability, including the issues, bills, and ordinances for or against which the institution has advocated:
Judson University's president, Dr. Jerry B. Cain, has been actively involved in advocating sustainability-related issues. He signed the University onto the Evangelical Climate Initiative, which calls organizations to pledge themselves to make positive social and environmental differences regarding the climate.
Also, Dr. Cain wrote a testimony to the EPA in May 2011 asking the EPA to reduce the usage of coal burning power plants due to the amount of mercury which they emit. A link to Dr. Cain's letter can be found in the Notes section below.
