A brief description of the metering system:
The Harm A. Weber Academic Center (HAWAC) is a LEED Gold certified building that employs a number of advanced systems. One such system is the energy-monitoring building automation system, which is described by the Shales/McNutt Construction company (who constructed HAWAC) as follows: "The building automation system (BAS) includes an LCD monitor located in the main lobby that displays real-time information about the building’s energy usage, the energy savings at any given time, and the type of mode the building is currently in – cooling, natural ventilation, or heating."
